July 21, 2018 by Alisha Hughes 5 Comments

This Weight Watchers friendly meal plan #42 uses delicious WW recipes that are between 1-6 Weight Watchers FreeStyle Smart Points per serving. It’s time for a new free Weight Watchers friendly meal plan on Meal Planning Mommies! This week’s meal plan provides a mix of some of our newest MPM recipes, including California Cobb Salad, Salsa Ranch Chicken Burritos, BBQ Chicken Twice Baked Potatoes, and Phyllo Cheeseburger Cups. All of the recipes in this meal plan are between 1-6 Weight Watchers FreeStyle Smart Points per serving and provide a wide range of nutrients.

A brief word from Alisha.

When I started this blog with my friends several years ago, I didn’t have a “standard” of what types of food I would share. Everything was fair game back then. Over the years, I have embraced the mindset that there is a certain level of responsibility that comes with sharing recipes online. As I hear from people who choose to cook what I share on this blog, I am both humbled and grateful.

It’s important to me that my recipes provide moms with the kinds of foods that they can feel good about sharing with their children. I enjoy sharing Weight Watchers friendly recipes, in particular, because it was the WW program that gave me a gauge for deciding what is healthy to eat and what isn’t. Weight Watchers has inspired me to include more fresh foods in my recipes. It feels good to incorporate more veggies into my recipes.

I have to say, some of the recipes I share now-a-days are ones I never would have tried several years ago. I have learned to appreciate healthy ingredients like Brussels Sprouts, zucchini, and bell peppers! Weight Watchers has opened me up to trying new things in the kitchen, and I hope some of the recipes on here will open you up to some new ideas as well. My new standard when it comes to recipes on the blog is to make things easier for Weight Watchers members and moms alike by providing healthy recipes that taste delicious.

I want to thank you for allowing me into your kitchens! It is a joy to get to serve you through this blog, and I love hearing from you!

The Hughes family outside of the kitchen…and on the road.

We took our family vacation to Michigan recently and had a great time, but to be honest, I am always happy to get back home after a long trip. Our favorite part of the vacation was our time at the Great Wolf Lodge. Have you ever been there? We were so impressed! It’s more than a stay at a hotel; it’s an experience. I wanted to share a few pictures from our recent time in Frankenmuth, Mackinac Island, and Traverse City so you can see a little bit about what we have been up to outside of the Hughes kitchen. Keep scrolling to see the pictures, or if you aren’t interested in the vacay pics, you can jump straight down to the meal plan pictures and printables by clicking here.

A few of our vacation pictures.

On the road…

(Lots of hours spent on the road.)

Kiddos in the back seat with their stuffed animal friends.

In Frankenmuth…

On our way to Mackinac Island…

On the Ferry boat that takes you to the Island.

The Arched Rock on Mackinac Island is beautiful!

The famous Mackinac Bridge that spans the gap between the upper and lower peninsulas of Michigan.

At The Great Wolf Lodge.

How cool are these “log cabins” in the hotel rooms designed for younger kids?! The kids loved this!

We were really impressed with the indoor waterpark in the hotel.

This year’s vacation was a slam dunk. 🙂

I hope you enjoy getting a little glimpse into our lives lately. (I am sure my mom did anyway) 😉 Now, how about the meal plan you came for?

Here are the recipes for this week’s meal plan, along with a sentence or two about each recipe…

    Hi Alisha:
Love your site; you make it so easy to find a wide variety of food. I am caretaker for my husband who had mandibular cancer last year so it is difficult to plan and make meals with tons of ingredients. I especially love your printable meal plans because I can pick & choose what I want to make.

Also, any suggestions for late night “cravings” seems I always want to eat in the evening..LOL

I’ve been on WW now for almost a month & only lost 5 lbs…any suggestions????

Thanks for all the time you put into this.
