This recipe is so hearty, I almost didn’t want to call it soup. Turkey sausage, whole wheat rotini, cannelini beans, and tomatoes are cooked in tomato-like broth. Using healthy, low point ingredients makes this a satisfying lunch or dinner you can feel good about.
Speaking of points…
Are you still doing Weight Watchers? Actually, it’s MyWW now! MyWW (formerly Weight Watchers and WW) is changing it up once again. The FreeStyle points that were shared on here before will now be referred to as blue points. I will also be calculating and sharing green and purple points as well.
I will be updating some recipes to include all three point totals, but it is going to take a while, so thank you for your patience as I attempt to make that happen. I am currently working on the next ebook that will come out in January! Have I mentioned that? I am hoping to make the new ebook include green, blue, and purple points as well as update my old ebooks to include all three “colors” of points. This may seem too lofty of a goal. I am not sure yet. Regardless, moving forward, I plan to include points for all of the plans.
So, what does that mean for this recipe?
The point totals per serving for this recipe are:
Green: 6 points
Blue: 5 points
Purple: 3 points…Yay for whole wheat pasta!
About the cheese.
I have tried this soup with and without Parmesan sprinkled on top. I made it optional for the recipe because I think it tasted great either way. If you include the cheese on top, you will just want to measure it and add the points to your total per serving, if you are counting.
Alrighty, let’s get to this recipe…

This looks fantastic!! Thank you for what you do. I love the recipes you post. They are amazing. When you are trying to follow WW and you have a very full and hectic life its hard to come up with things that are WW friendly to make. I run out of ideas and honestly, though I am a Pinterest fanatic, I get tired of all the same WW recipes that they have on there as well as the millions of WW casseroles or crockpot recipes you can make…ugh tired of casseroles, crockpot food. Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you for all the hard work you put into this blog/website. It’s really great!
