Have you ever made a bagel pizza? They are so easy. Even moms with very young kids can allow their children to do many of the steps to make this simple meal, and they (not sure who “they” are, but I think “they” are right) say that kids are more likely to try a food they helped create!
I’m actually making these, as well as the ham and pineapple paninis, because our bagels were crazy cheap this week at our grocery store.
Ingredients:
Bagels
Shredded mozzarella, cheddar, and Parmesan cheese (or Italian cheese blend)
Pizza sauce, or spaghetti sauce
Whatever toppings you like on your pizzas.
Directions:
1. Spread sauce on your bagel.
2. Sprinkle on cheese.
3. Put on toppings. Hubster likes pepperoni. My kids and I love pineapple. Use what you have! Check out these adorable little mini pepperonis I found at our store. 🙂
4. Sprinkle on a little pizza seasoning if you have any. (or Italian seasoning will help spice things up a bit)5. Pop those bad boys into a 375 degree oven for about 15 minutes, or until the cheese is good and melted.
6. Smile and serve.
**Side Note: Other things, besides a bagel, that can substitute the dough on pizza are flour tortillas, French bread, or pitas.
Have any of you ever used anything else as “dough” for a pizza?

We make them with English Muffins. They are my favorite kind of pizza!

We like to use English Muffins! My husband also got creative one night and made calzone pizzas using biscuit dough that was in the fridge!

We keep the “spirit” of Passover each year but don’t follow all the rules super-strictly. But we always have pizza on matzoh. One large cracker is about enough for one person.
