If you would like to know about the recent updates on the Meal Planning Mommies blog and/or read a blurb about what’s been going on in my personal life you are in the right place.
Lets start with blog updates!
I have been doing some behind the scenes updating on the blog. These updates include adding links the WW recipe builder at the top of recipe posts, updating the most visited list posts, and updating the ebooks (and reducing the prices). I hope you find these updates helpful.
Do I have to enter every ingredient into the WW recipe builder?
This is a question people who are tracking points with WW have. They don’t want to spend a bunch of time entering every ingredient of each recipe into the app, and I do not blame them. That’s why I have done the work for you! I have added links to the WW recipe builder at the top of each of the recipe pages on Meal Planning Mommies. When you go to a recipe on this blog you will see where it says “Link to recipe in WW app” at the top of the post. When you click that link you will be taken to the WW recipe builder where you can track the points for the recipe in your app. The place to click will look like this… (nothing fancy)…
Once you are on the app, it will show up just like any other recipe you enter.
Low Point Foods Lists
The lists continue to get a lot of clicks which tells me that they are still helping people so it kind of drives me crazy for them to all be outdated. It takes me a while to update each one but I feel like it’s worth it. I am still deciding which ones are worth putting in the effort to update so if there is one you want updated, please let me know. For now, I will just share with you the ones I have gotten around to doing so far. Click on the image that you are interested in below to be taken to the updated list.
Low Point bread and buns list
Low Point Tortillas List
Low Point Sweet and Savory Snacks list
(I combined a couple of lists together in one post here)
Low Point Restaurant and Fast Food Options
Low Point “Big Game” Snacks, Sides, and Salads
Updated ebooks!
Let’s jump into the ebooks. All of our ebooks have been updated with the new WW Points per serving listed and each recipe page also includes a link to the recipe in the WW recipe builder.
Here is an example of what a updated recipe page looks like…
When you click where is says “Click here to see in WW app,” you will be taken to the WW recipe builder where WW members track their foods. I have entered all of the recipes into the WW app for you so you don’t have to enter each recipe. The points per serving are automatically calculated making the recipes really easy to track for WW members.
Here is what you will see in your WW app if you click “Click here to see in WW app” on the Bean and Barley Soup recipe:
Side note: WW members will have access to the WW app and be able to use the recipe builder once they log in. Those who are not WW members will not have access to the recipe builder since access to the recipe builder is part of what you pay for when you enter the program.

Updates in my personal life.
Now for a brief update on my life since 2021… (Yikes! Was it really that long ago?… Yes, yes, it was.) The picture above gives you a little glimpse into what our family looks like these days. Our oldest is almost 17 and our youngest is 2. I am still in a busy season keeping up with band concerts, friends, church activities, wiping sweet, messy cheeks, and a settling into a new job.
All of our children are in different kinds of transitional phases right now and we are trying to be intentional about tending to their young hearts as they navigate their friendships and responsibilities.
Before and After Pictures of Our Kitchen.
In a previous post, I promised an after picture of our kitchen because it needed some serious help when we moved into our new house.
Two years later, (said in my best Spongebob voice)…
TADA! Everything in the kitchen needed to be updated. Ironically, the reason I wanted a well lit white kitchen back in the day was because I thought it would make for nicer pictures for the blog… and now I have the kitchen, but I don’t have the time to do the blog… (sigh) My heart still tugs back to the Meal Planning Mommies blog but I just don’t have the time to pour into it like I used to. We will see what the future holds but for now I have to be honest with myself about what is realistic since having recently started a new career, which brings me to my last update.
One last personal update.
I graduated!
I got my masters degree in clinical mental health counseling. I am a full time counselor now and I am loving it.
Okay, that’s my mini update for those who were interested. I just want to wrap up by saying a big thank you for all of your support over the years. You guys are awesome!
I hope 2023 is good to you!! Take care of yourself!

You’ve been busy! Congrats on graduating and your new career. Your blog is still my favorite for WW recipes or regular recipes. I hope one day you find time to run your website… You really rocked at this too! One of your recipes is a family favorite and we’ve been eating it for years. (We call it Italian soup but I think you baked it spinach and sausage soup) That’s no small feat considering I have 7 kid and all 9 of us are picky. Even when I quit WW my family continues to ask for it. Thank you for the update.

I would like to sign up for your emails. How do I do that? Don’t see an option on your website.

I was thrilled to find your (ebook) Table For Two Meal Planning Guide! Immediately bought and downloaded it. I know that meal planning is a great way to save money at the grocery store and also would save me from that last minute ‘what’s for dinner tonight’ dilemma but knowing it and doing it were two different things. Then I found your ebook and it almost feels decadent that you did all the work for me. The recipes have proven to be simple, tasty and easy to prepare. Thank you!!
P.S. The shopping list was a real bonus…shopping for the week is a breeze.
