Sweet Teriyaki Pineapple Pork Chops

February 26, 2017 by Alisha Hughes 4 Comments

These sweet teriyaki pineapple pork chops are going to be your new favorite thing! These things are seriously so good! You’ll love the combination of the sweet teriyaki marinade with the pineapple chunks and how easy these pork chops are to prepare. With just 4 main ingredients you can have dinner on the table in less than 15 minutes.

How do the smart points add up?

With lean meat being low in smart points and pineapple being zero (I rinsed and drained the canned pineapple) this is a great recipe for Weight Watcher members. The couple of points from the honey teriyaki marinade are so worth it! I promise you. One serving is 4 ounces pork, 2 teaspoons marinade and 2 ounces pineapple and is just 5 Weight Watcher FreeStyle Smart Points total.

What sauce should I use on pineapple pork chops?

I used KC Masterpiece Honey Teriyaki marinade, but I know there are other brands that are probably just as good. The truth is that this sauce tastes amazing and will make any meat taste delicious! The marinade you don’t use on this recipe you can use on any meat in the future, but I have a feeling you will be making this recipe more than once. KC Masterpiece Honey Teriyaki marinade is 2 WW FreeStyle SP per tablespoon. For three other recipe ideas you can make using this marinade you can go here.

Are you ready to give you taste buds a sweet little happy dance?

Here is what you need:

Cooking spray
4 (4 ounce) trimmed boneless pork chops
1 tsp. garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
8 tsp. honey teriyaki marinade
8 oz. canned pineapple chunks or slices

Here is what you do:

Preheat the oven to 450°F.

Trim any visible fat from the pork chops.

Lightly mist the pork chops on both sides with cooking spray. Sprinkle pork with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Quick Tip: Covering your cookie sheet/stone with parchment paper that is sprayed with cooking spray will make clean up a cinch, but it is not necessary.

sprinkle garlic powder, salt, and pepper onto the pork chops

Place the chops on a cookie sheet or large stone. Cook for 10 minutes. You will start to smell the garlic. YUM!

While the pork chops are cooking rinse and drain the pineapple. Cut into smaller pieces, if desired. (I just did this to make it easier for my kids to eat)

Brush the pork chops with 2 teaspoons marinade. Top with pineapple pieces. Cook an additional 5-10 minutes or until thoroughly cooked. (more or less time depending on the thickness of your pork chops)

These pork chops can be served with cooked rice and extra sauce to bulk up the meal if you like. They also taste great with green beans.

With summer just around the corner this would make a great kabob, just add any of your favorite fruit (pineapple, apples, peaches) or veggies ( peppers… green, red, orange, yellow, zucchini, yellow squash, onion, mushrooms)
another low cal good sauce is just your leftover pineapple juice and brown sugar

Hi Alisha!!! I need to start “commenting” because I am “cooking my way through your Cookbooks” (reminiscent of that movie about Julia Childs, right???). Anyway, I’m not on WW, but am trying to eat healthier and loose some weight. I am thrilled to be able to tell you I started on January 6th and as of this morning am .8 pounds away from having lost 10 pounds!!!

My husband and I are LOVING your awesome meals! THANK YOU very much for ALL the effort YOU’VE done preparing these menus and meal plans for us!!! I cook dinner for my daughter, her husband and my two Grandsons every Weds. I’ve been taking your meals over to them as well !!! They are a hit!!

In preparing to make this Teriyaki Pineapple Pork Chop dish, I plan to marinate my chops overnight in the Marinade. I’ll let ya know !!!! P.S. Thanks for the recommendation about the rice. When I serve my family Family Dinner, I toss in some Craisins into my brown rice for some “zip” !!!

    Thanks Alisha!

Lori, This was so sweet! Thank you so much! I’m so happy for you that you are having success and I am honored to get to be a small part of your story. Oh! And marinating the pork sounds great. Craisins sounds great too! Thanks for the idea. 🙂 -Alisha
