Pork chops topped with an original sweet sauce and cooked in the slow cooker until they are tender. That’s what’s going on today on Meal Planning Mommies.
These pork chops pair PERFECTLY with steamed broccoli. In fact, I liked them even better with the broccoli, so I highly recommend serving them together. I just used a bag of frozen broccoli florets from Aldi that can be cooked in the bag in the microwave. Aldi’s frozen broccoli is the best!
One pork chop with sweet sauce (and with, or without, the broccoli) is 6 WW FreeStyle Smart Points.
Quick and easy slow cooker recipe.
As much as I don’t want to put “quick and easy” in front of all of my recipes, sometimes I just have to. Most slow cooker recipes are easy, right? This is definitely one of “those” slow cooker recipes. You prepare the sauce, add it to the slow cooker with the pork, and let the crock-pot do its magic for a couple of hours.
The result: super tender pork that your fork will glide through like butter.

Really want to use your slow cooker more?
As the weather heats up, I’m sure you will want to find ways not to use the oven as much. Your slow cooker will help with that! Third time’s a charm!
I’ll be honest, I had to try to make, and remake, this recipe multiple times before I was happy with it, but in the end, I felt it was worth it. This sauce is sweet and flavorful. Here is what I decided to use in the end:
What makes this one of a kind sweet sauce?
- Barbecue sauce
- Ketchup
- Apricot preserves
- Worcestershire sauce
- Garlic powder
- Chili powder
- Sautéed onions
Here is what you need:
Cooking spray
1 small sweet onion, chopped
2 tablespoons barbecue sauce
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon apricot preserves
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon chili powder
1 pound boneless pork chops, trimmed of fat
1 teaspoon cornstarch
Here is what you do:
Spray a medium skillet with cooking spray and set over medium heat. Add onion to skillet and cook 4-5 minutes, or until crisp tender, mixing occasionally.
Mix barbecue sauce, ketchup, preserves, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and chili powder in with the onions. Allow to cook 2-3 minutes, mixing the sauce as it cooks.
Place the pork chops in the bottom of the slow cooker and top with the sauce. Cook 2-3 hours on LOW.
Once cooked, transfer the pork to a plate. Whisk cornstarch in with the sauce in the slow cooker; set slow cooker to HIGH, and allow to cook 15 minutes, or until the sauce slightly thickens.
Pour 2 tablespoons sweet sauce over each pork chop. Sweet glazed pork chops go great with broccoli!

Ok, I’m a sucker for meat recipes with jelly or jam. This one is an absolute keeper. I like the little kick the Worcester and BBQ sauce add. The pork loin chops I used were very tender and juicy. The only change I made was to use Sugar Free Apricot Preserves.

I normally don’t eat pork, but gotta say, this was delicious! Definitely will remake! Very simple to make as well, which is even better!
