This week’s meal plan is EASY.
SUPER EASY.
Like… You don’t need to print a recipe for 3 of the meals because it is self explanatory on the meal planning sheet.
The reason I made this recipe easy is for a couple of reasons. First, I know it is back to school time and everyone is getting back into a routine. Second, some weeks we just like it easy- ya know? Third, I want you all to know that meals do not have to be complicated to make meal time successful!
I hope to start posting meal plans that are a little easier on everyone. Sometimes I get super excited and add lots of new recipes that I find to my meal plan for the week. Then I find that I actually don’t use my meal plan because I am burnt out and exhausted by day 3!
We want and hope our meal plans can be user friendly for you. For the mom who doesn’t love to cook, the mom who doesn’t have time to cook, the mom who is cooking after being at work all day and the family on a budget.
The next few weeks I will be putting out meal plans that are super easy. Remember our meal plans are flexible. If you don’t like what you see everyday, plug in your own meal ideas. The meal planner download is editable so change it up however you like! If you decide you don’t want to do meal #3, for example, then go on the grocery list and cross off all items with a #3 next to them. Add in the ingredients for the meal you want to plug in on the blank lines on the grocery list and you are set!
I hope you love it!
Monday: Chicken Tacos
Tuesday: Grilled BBQ Bacon Burgers
Wednesday: Baked Salmon (or fill in a “go- to” like Spaghetti)
Thursday: Homemade Reuben Sandwich (I made my kiddos cheese toasties instead!)
Friday: Eat out or Leftovers
Saturday: Chicken with provolone wrapped in bacon

Two ideas to make sure you actually implement your meal plan.
First Tip:
I like to print out my meal plan, recipes to go along with it and grocery list. Put all of them together on a clipboard. You can even get a strong magnet for your fridge to hang your clipboard on or hang it on a nail on your kitchen. Now you are ready for the entire week and you can find everything in one spot!
Second Tip:
Display your meal plan for your family. This will dispel the “Mom, what are we having for dinner?” It will also help to keep you accountable! I painted half of my door in my kitchen with chalkboard paint. Now I can change my menu weekly and it’s cute! (Notice I didn’t even follow my meal plan, some nights we had other things going on and so we don’t need to cook at home! It’s all about being flexible, mommas!)
Third Tip:
You know that calendar thing on your phone? USE IT to meal plan! I went ahead and plugged in each night’s meals into my calendar. That way if I am out and about and forgot what’s for dinner that night I can check my calendar. This will help me in case I forgot an ingredient or to make sure I am home in time to prep/cook depending on the meal.
I would love for you to share your meal planning tips.
