As I mentioned in the previous post (Beef and Noodle Recipe) my family and I have been in Florida on vacation since last Friday so I have not been cooking for a whole week! (YAHOO!!)
We have been eating out for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for seven days straight! I’m pretty sure getting on the scale when I get home won’t be any fun, but eating delicious food sure was! In place of doing a Weight Watcher’s meal plan this week I will be changing things up and doing a “Mother Tested, Mother Approved” meal plan.
I will be taking six recipes that you, our readers, have already shared in response to a question we put out on Facebook back in May 2015. The question was,
“What is the easiest recipe that you absolutely love for dinner?” ?
I am going to be sharing three recipes to prepare for this next’s week’s meal plan. This is the second of the three. The other three will have links to the original websites that were shared from the moms who suggested them.
Shannon Bilunas says that her family likes this easy french bread bruschetta recipe.
Shannon says this: “For an easy, lighter dinner, my entire family loves my french bread bruschetta. Set oven to 350. Cut 1-2 long french baguettes into 1/2-3/4inch pieces, place on a cookie sheet, and set aside. In a small pan, roast equal parts garlic and butter (I buy the minced garlic in a jar to save time) and stir continuously. Pour mixture over bread spreading evenly. Using your favorite pasta sauce, add about 1 tablespoon of sauce on top of the bread. Top with mozzarella cheese and basil and place in oven until bread is crisp. I serve it with a tossed salad and voila! My kids always ask for this time and again!”
