The third recipe for our “Mother Tested, Mother Approved” meal plan was given to us by Jesica Savich.
I will be taking six recipes that you, our readers, have already shared in response to a question we put out on Facebook back in May 2015. The question was,
“What is the easiest recipe that you absolutely love for dinner?” ?
I am going to be sharing three recipes to prepare for this next’s week’s meal plan. This is the last of the three. The other three will have links to the original websites that were shared from the moms who suggested them.
She shared her turkey loaf recipe with us.
Here is how Jesica makes her turkey loaf: “2 lbs ground turkey, 1 egg, 1 cup wild rice, 1/3 cup chopped red pepper, 1/4 cup chopped onion, 1/2 cup small cubes of cheese, 1/4 cup BBQ sauce. Mix all together, then top with a mix of ketchup and brown sugar. Place in a loaf pan and bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees. SO good, my family loves it! So easy and healthy!“
- 2 lbs ground turkey
- 1 egg
- 1 cup wild rice
- 1/3 cup chopped red pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup small cubes of cheese
- 1/4 cup BBQ sauce.
- Mix together 2 lbs ground turkey, 1 egg, 1 cup wild rice, 1/3 cup chopped red pepper, 1/4 cup chopped onion, 1/2 cup small cubes of cheese, and 1/4 cup BBQ sauce.
- Then top with a mix of ketchup and brown sugar.
- Place in a loaf pan and bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
