If you are looking for a quick and healthy lunch idea that is perfect for the summer, look no further than the tuna sandwich! Do you have a favorite way to eat your tuna salad sandwiches?
There are so many different ways to make this classic sandwich, and today I would like to share my favorite way.
Introducing the best tuna sandwich I have ever had…
I took some time these past couple of weeks to experiment with different ways of making a tuna sandwich so I could honestly say I found “the best tuna salad sandwich” I have ever had. In the end, I decided the ingredients that were the most amazing together were avocado, light mayonnaise, red onion, pickle relish, Worcestershire sauce, sugar, and lemon pepper seasoning (I used McCormick brand).
My favorite, and not so favorite, brands of tuna.
When it comes to tuna sandwiches, it really DOES matter what brand of tuna you use! I used to think all canned tuna was the same, until I tried the Aldi brand. I love Aldi, and there are so many foods I love to eat from there, but tuna is definitely NOT one of them. Personally, my favorite brands of tuna are Starkist, then Bumble Bee, and finally Chicken of the Sea.

My favorite “hand model.”
So, I don’t know if you noticed or not, but I enlisted the help of a special hand model for this recipe. It’s my husband, Scott Hughes. He just happened to be standing in the kitchen when I was about to take pictures, so I took that as a sign that he wanted to help (wink, wink).
Seriously, though, how cute is he? I should definitely try to find more ways to include him in pictures in the future!
