A warm, creamy, hearty soup is just perfect this time of year, isn’t it? When it comes to what you might look for in a comfort food, this soup ticks off all the boxes. Ground turkey, potatoes, bacon, and cheddar cheese are cooked in a creamy soup.
LOTS of meat and POTATOES!
Are you on the purple MyWW plan? If you are, you will appreciate that the bulk of this soup comes from ground turkey and potatoes. Not on the purple plan? No worries…this recipe is low in points on all three plans. One serving is 6 Green, 5 Blue, or 3 Purple points.
How to change things up.
Want to bulk up the soup even more? Consider adding corn to the soup.
On the blue plan and want to lower the points per serving? Consider swapping out the potatoes for a can of rinsed and drained white kidney beans.
Want to lower the points on all three plans? Consider using 1/2 cup cheese in the soup and not topping it with cheese at the end.
Make it work for you!
What you should know about the ingredients.
I used Campbell’s Healthy Request condensed Cheddar Cheese soup in this recipe. It makes the soup creamy while adding extra cheddar flavor.
Mrs. Dash Southwest Chipotle seasoning and canned green chilies give this soup a unique flavor I think you will love. We have other recipes on the blog that use Mrs. Dash seasonings if you are looking for some . I am a huge fan of Mrs. Dash seasonings because they allow you to easily flavor lean meat and vegetables without adding calories or salt.
An easy way to add just a little bacon to a soup or salad is by using bacon bits. The ones I used in this recipe are the Oscar Mayer brand, but I don’t know that it makes much difference which brand you use.
Okay, I think the rest is self-explanatory, so let’s get to this recipe…
