Not only do both of my daughters love this meal, we do too! It is healthy, practical, frugal and SUPER easy!
Buying a lunchable in the store not only costs quite a bit for the portions you receive, but they can also be quite unhealthy. It is so easy to make your own at home, for a fraction of the price!
Here is what you need for a family of 4:
1 package of deli meat (your choice!)
1/2 lb (or so) of block cheese (also your choice)
crackers (we like wheat ritz crackers)
Fruit (grapes, strawberries, sliced apples, melon or whatever you have on hand)
Step 1: Place all of your item on the table and begin slicing cheese/meat
Step 2: We just give everyone a portion of meat, cheese, crackers and fruit and make our own cracker sandwiches! My toddlers loved this b/c they could make a sandwich, or just them all on their own. They would take one bite of this, put it down, take another bite of something else, go back to the original piece- etc. You see what I mean!
Step 3: Enjoy!
Do you have a super easy toddler meal as a stand-by?
If so, we’d love to hear it! Leave us a comment and share!

LOL this brings back memories! When my youngest boy was 2-3y one of his teachers came up to me and said something about me being brave and I asked her what she was talking about and she said…well, “you cook so much and I think you must make a ham every week bc he tells me all the time about you having HAM for dinner” – well, when I got up off the floor from laughing I told her…yes, I make HAM for dinner by rolling up pieces of deli ham and cheese and putting that on the plate with fruit and that is dinner! Not cooking! Think we’ll have to plan “HAM” for dinner one day next week!

being a mother of 5 toddlers we have peanut butter, jelly and marshmallow fluff as a quick meal. I always cut the bread with cookie cutters to make them more interesting. Also my kids love nutella. The main thing is that I mix all the ingredients together and then spread them on the bread that way they have a consistent taste the whole time.

We call this a “snacky lunch” and my 4 year old loves it…not quite a toddler anymore but still loves it.
