The Absolute Quickest and Easiest Way to Grocery Shop

Free Grocery Pickup at Walmart

This is just too good not to share. The Walmart in my area started providing a service where you can get your groceries without ever having to set foot in the store! Have you heard of Walmart’s “shop online with free pick up” service? It’s, hand’s down, the smartest, quickest, and most efficient way to grocery shop! Besides saving you a whole lot of time it also saves you money, because you won’t impulse buy half the store!

To make this deal even sweeter, if you shop online and use Walmart’s Free Pick Up and my referral link you can get $10 off of your first order that is over $50, and because you used my link, I will get $10 off of my next order! How cool is that? Give this thing a try, using my link, and then you will get your own referral link so you can refer your friends to get an extra $10 off of your next order!

Here is my referral link: http://r.wmt.co/fFty7

When you click on the link above you will be taken to a page where you can enter in your zip code and it will let you know what stores around you are currently participating in the free pick up service.

You may even get a “Thank you” gift. I received these goodies with my order:

I cannot even tell you how much I am wigging out about this right now. My good friend who shared her experience with me (you can see a pic of her kids at the bottom of this post) just couldn’t say enough good about the Walmart free pick up so I tried it out and loved it, and now I am passing it along to you.

Let me just tell you… This really is as good as it sounds. The only thing I would say is not to use the app.

Don’t use the app.

I wanted to put this toward the top of this post, because I think it is important for you to know. The Walmart grocery app has a horrible rating for a reason. The only kink in the whole system is that their app is not working consistently. I tried using the app and they did not get the alert in the store, so I ended up calling. Skip using the app and just call the phone number on the sign at your store instead. After I called the phone number and talked to someone the Walmart associate came out with my groceries in just four minutes!

A few specific groups of people come to mind when I think of who this free service could help.

People I think who could benefit from Walmart’s Order Online & Pick Up Free Service:

♥ An overwhelmed mom with a packed schedule.

There are some weeks where I simply do not have the time to get the store and get everything I need, so I wait until the next day… and the next… and the next… and it feels like I will never get there. Most weeks are not like that for me, but I hate when it does happen because we resort to eating fast food, or grabbing a pizza, more times than I would like. Fast food and pizza are fun every now and again, but when you feel like you are left with no other option if can feel defeating.

♥ A mom with young children who are prone to throw tantrums in the store.

I have SO been there. There is nothing more frustrating than having half of what you need and then dealing with a child who won’t stop throwing a fit. You either have to rush through the store, feeling like a mad person trying to get the rest of your things, hoping everything will treat you with grace and understanding, or you have to give up and leave all your stuff at the store. When my kids were really little I would rush through the store, figuring the longer I was there the more likely it was that we would end up with a massive tantrum on our hands. Inevitably, in my rushing through the store I would forget a few things and be upset with myself when I got home.

♥ Someone with a handicap or disability that makes walking around a store difficult.

When you see those fancy little carts you can ride around the store they look like fun, right? Until you have to use them! Did you ever think about the fact that the person has to get from their car to the riding cart, and then use that tiny basket to get everything they need, and then load it into their trunk! It seems a little unfair really. The Walmart associate who brings out your groceries also puts them in your trunk for you!

♥ Someone who can’t drive.

I mean, think about it. Say you have an elderly person in your family who can’t make it to the store, so you always do their grocery shopping for them. Now they can order everything they want from the convenience of their home, using the computer and their credit card, and all you would have to do it is go and grab it!

♥ Someone who just really hates shopping.

I’ll be honest with you. I really do not mind shopping. I enjoy it when I have time for it. There are some people, though, who sincerely hate everything about shopping. They hate being around the people, taking the time to buy their stuff, picking through what they don’t want trying to find what they do want, and just everything about shopping. The Walmart shop online and free pick up is a dream for someone who hates shopping.

♥ Someone who spends more money than they should… every time they go to the store.

Impulse shopping can be a killer, can’t it? Things end up in my cart that I didn’t intend to get every single time I go shopping, without fail. My husband is so good about about getting only what is on the list and nothing else. Me, not so much. By ordering online you are not tempted by the (literally) millions of other things in the store that you have to pass by to get what you want.

That’s a lot of reasons to use this free pick up service, isn’t it? Did you find yourself somewhere on this list? If you did then do yourself a favor and try Walmart’s new service.

Here’s all you have to do to order online at Walmart:

1. Order your groceries online (using this referral link, so you will get $10 off of your first order) and pick a time to pick up the groceries. (I picked the between 1:00-2:00 in the afternoon time slot, but you can pick any time slot they have open). To find what you want to buy, you can search by category or by specific items and it will give you many options with the prices of each one.

Just do a search online for the things you want

You can also search by category

3. Go to the store during the time period that you chose to pick up your things. There will be specific parking spots, or a drive up area, designated to park in when you are doing a “pick up”. Our Walmart has parking spots. They will be very clearly marked. You can’t miss them.

4. A Walmart associate will have already done your grocery shopping for you prior to you coming and you will get an email when your things are ready to pick up.

5. Call the phone number on the sign to “check in” when you get to the store.

6. A Walmart associate will bring the groceries out to your car for FREE and even load them into your trunk for you!

This is a serious game changer!! Take advantage of this special service! After all, it’s free!

My friend who introduced me to Walmart’s new free service currently has three kids under the age of seven and she has another baby on the way. Can you imagine the stress of going to the grocery store with a long grocery list and four little children?! What a blessing this is for her! She sent me a picture of her kids shopping that she said I could share on here.

Shopping with kids is not easy.

Clearly there is no room in this shopping cart for the things she is going to buy, but there sure is a whole lot of cuteness in that cart! 🙂

My experience with Walmart’s Order Online and Free Pick Up.

I had today off of work and I knew I needed to use this day to get ready for camping, since we will be camping all weekend. I decided got all of our fun foods for camping using Walmart’s service. It took me less than 10 minutes to search for, and order, everything pictured below.

By ordering online I was able to use my time today to start packing for camping, instead of spending lots of time shopping. How awesome is that? I loved the convenience of this.

Do you know someone this could help? Share this post with them. They will thank you for it!
