Instant Pot Giveaway

Update: This giveaway has ended.
Congratulations goes to our winner, Susie!

About a year ago, my good friend Sarah Anderson shared her interest in the Instant Pot. I didn’t think much of it at the time, but it turns out she was one step ahead of the rest of us, as she usually is. The Instant Pot has risen to be one of the top best sellers this Holiday season. Everyone wants to get their hands on one this Christmas. So why is it so popular? Let me tell you a little bit about today’s giveaway.

Giveaway #3:

Instant Pot Duo Mini 3 Qt 7-in-1 Multi-Use Programmable Pressure Cooker, Slow Cooker, Rice Cooker, Steamer, Sauté, Yogurt Maker and Warmer

What do you use your Instant Pot for?

A couple of weeks ago, I was experimenting with my Instant Pot and trying to decide what I should cook in it. I put the question out to my friends, “If you have any ideas of things I should do with any of the things pictured here I would love to hear them,” and I included pictures of some things we would be using in our giveaway series.

One friend, who had an Instant Pot for a while, answered my question, “Mostly I use my Instant Pot for vegetables, chicken, etc. to go in something else, and my personal favorite is hard boiled eggs. They peel in seconds. Worth it just for that.”

I have to say, she is absolutely correct about the hard-boiled eggs. You will have perfect eggs every single time with the Instant Pot. I promise you! And my friend was also right that it is worth it just for that! Starting today with Weight Watchers’ new Flex Plan, eggs are ZERO Smart Points! If you love hard-boiled eggs then you need an Instant Pot. For instructions on how to hard-boil eggs in an Instant Pot, go here. Our family has been eating a lot more eggs since we got this pressure cooker, just saying.

What 7 things does a 7-in-1 pressure cooker do exactly?

There are seven kitchen appliances that the Instant Pot replaces. The Instant Pot combines the following functions all in one:

  • Rice Cooker
  • Pressure Cooker
  • Programmable Slow Cooker
  • Steamer
  • Sauté
  • Yogurt Maker
  • Warmer

One nice thing about it doing ALL of these things is that you can combine the functions within one recipe. For instance, you can start by sautéing your meat or vegetables, add more ingredients, and then slow cook or pressure cook the rest of the recipe, like in this Italian Turkey Meatball and Vegetable Soup recipe that I made in my 6-quart Instant Pot.

11 Programmable Digital Controls on an Instant Pot.

To make things easy, the Instant Pot has 11 Smart Programmable digital controls. Know what you are cooking, but not sure what setting or time to set the pressure cooker at? No problem. You can add your ingredients to the Instant Pot and just click one of these buttons, taking some of the guesswork out of it:

  • Rice
  • Soup/Broth
  • Meat/Stew
  • Bean/Chili
  • Sauté
  • Porridge
  • Steam
  • Slow Cook
  • Yogurt
  • Keep Warm
  • and, of course, Pressure Cook

Here is what you get if you win this giveaway:

Accessories include:

  • Rice measuring cup
  • Stainless steel steam rack without handles
  • Rice paddle
  • Soup spoon
  • Condensation collector
  • and recipe booklet.

(To maximize performance of the cooker, you will want to only use genuine Instant Pot accessories.)

The mini Instant Pot is a 3 quart capacity, and it is every bit of adorable. Perfect for smaller kitchens. It can do all the things a 6-quart Instant Pot can do… it’s just smaller and cuter! 🙂

Some cool things you can do with your Instant Pot:

Sarah, who I talked about at the beginning of this giveaway, gave me a link to a really great post written by Passionate Penny Pincher that gives some really great food ideas that you can make with your Instant Pot that are perfect for Thanksgiving or Christmas…

My favorite is when she shows you how to cook eggs and potatoes at the same time in your Instant Pot! So efficient. I love that! The only thing better than making perfect eggs in your Instant Pot is making eggs and potatoes at the same time in your Instant Pot. 😉

You might also want to check out this post that shares 23 Instant Pot hacks you may not know about:

Here are a few Instant Pot recipes you can find in this post:

You didn’t think I was going to tell you all about the Instant Pot and not give you some Weight Watchers friendly Instant Pot recipes did you? Of course not. 🙂

Wow! I have been hearing so much about this , but when I read your message about the boiled eggs. I have been buying my eggs from Walmart already boiled because for some reason I can not boil eggs anymore. I may have half a egg left. I would be on top of the world if I could boil eggs again.
