A Grocery list to save you time.

January 29, 2009 by mealplanningmommies 6 Comments

Grocery Shopping ListDownload our new Grocery List! Make it work for you. Katie’s friend passed this along to her to use and she made it fit for her typical grocery needs. She shared it with us, I tweaked it a little to make it general enough, but not too general, and now we are sharing it with you. Print off as many copies as you want.

There are so many grocery lists that you can download and print. Some are too long, some are just meant to be cutesy but not real helpful. We have one for you that all fits on one page and gives you room to write in your extra info. (i.e. 2 cups cheddar, low-fat, etc.) This is the type that has helped me, so I hope it helps many of you as well.

I, personally, am printing off several and putting them on a giant magnetic paper clip on my fridge. Then when I realize we need something I just circle it on the list or write it in the correct box. When you do your grocery shopping you will save a lot of time using this type of method, and you will find it will be much easier than if you had jotted down all the things you needed in no particular order on a scrap piece of paper (like I used to do). 😉

    Micaela,
🙁 I am sorry. It is a pdf, so most computers should be able to open it. My husband is the computer buff, though, so I will ask him tonight if there is a reason why some might not be able to open it. Thank you for the heads up, Micaela.

I made my own on excel. I made a simple spreadsheet that sorts item by department (produce, meat, canned goods, etc). 3 rows down, 4 rows across with 9 slots in each category to list items. I don’t know about everyone else but I got sick of getting clear to one side of the store and realizing I forgot something on the other side as I get to it towards the bottom of my list. This keeps me on track in every isle / department so there’s no back tracking! Printed some off and hung them in my pantry to add on throughout the week until its meal planning time. (There is also a spot on my list for what meals im making so I can refer to them for specific ingredients).
