What to do when corn on the cob goes on sale

September 22, 2009 by mealplanningmommies 2 Comments

Just found this on mummydeals.org today and I had to post and share. Clair gives details on a very easy way to buy lots of corn when it is on sale, cook it, and freeze it for later. Could save you a chunk of change if you are buying when corn on the cob goes on a great sale. Click here to go directly to her post.

I did a couple bags of corn last year and froze it specifically for some special meals. I loved the idea of having corn from my Grandpa’s garden for thanksgiving. 🙂

Yep, we freeze mass amounts of corn each summer and use them all fall/winter long. I love to make corn chowder in the winter….mmm…a family favorite in a warm home made bread bowl. I can taste it now!!!!
