Toddler Meals: Creating a healthy meal plan for your little one

February 23, 2015 by mealplanningmommies 3 Comments

I found an excellent resource to guide you through healthy eating for pre-school children ages 2-5. On http://www.choosemyplate.gov/kids/ you can find lots of helpful information and resources, including games, activity sheets, and videos for kids. I have inserted a photo of the main concept behind “Choose My Plate”, which has replaced the food pyramid for kids since June 2011, when Michelle Obama encouraged that we, as a country, need to do a better job of teaching what healthy looks like for kids. You will need to go directly to the site  to use the links and print out the resources, but I wanted to give you a taste of what is available. Here is the heart of the plan:

Check this out for your toddler, for yourself and your family!

We would LOVE to hear from YOU!

Please leave a comment and share your tips/ideas about encouraging healthy eating for your toddler/family.
