This week, and possibly from now on, we are just posting five meal plans rather than the usual seven. This is because we most often go out to eat once a week and always need a night to use up leftovers so that they do not go to waste. This week the meal plan is as followed. Most of the recipes are new to me so I can not promise that they will be great, but it should be fun trying.
I spent $60 this week at the grocery store and am feeding three adults and two toddlers this week.
Here is the meal plan:
Monday~ Ellie’s Mannocotti
Mannocotti Noodles
Ricotta Cheese
Mozzerella Cheese
Spaghetti Sauce
Egg
Tuesday~Portibella Pizza
Portibella Mushrooms
Pesto
Mozzerella cheese
bacon
pineapple
marinara sauce
Wednesday~Sloppy Joe’s on Sweet Potato biscuits
unsalted butter
sweet potato
buttermilk (just use milk and vinegar/lemon juice)
flour
baking powder
salt
sugar
cayanne pepper
Can of sloppy joe sauce
ground beef
Thursday~Bacon and Baked potato soup
2 good sized potatoes
butter
onion
celery
flour
thyme, salt, pepper
4 cups of milk (you can use half/half or cream too)
1 1/4 cup shredded cheese
1 cup chicken broth
8 slices bacon
Friday~ Cheese Fondue
Garlic
1 cup milk
1 pound monterey jack cheese
flour
(Bread, chicken, and veggies for dipping)
Extra: Layered Brownies
unsalted butter
cocoa
sugar
eggs
salt
wheat flour
vanilla
confectionars sugar
heavy cream
flax seed

I am really looking forward to this meal plan. I got a lot of the recipes from trusted magazines and put my own spin on them. My sister gave me the portibella pizza idea which she SWEARS even a mushroom hater will like!
