Chicken, blue cheese, and barbecue sauce. Yum! I loved these burgers!
One burger is just 5 WW FreeStyle Smart Points. The recipe tells how to make 4 burgers, but we made five, so the pictures show five. We just made our burgers a little smaller. Adjust this recipe to fit the needs of your family. The hot sauce added to the barbecue sauce gives it a little kick, but can be adjusted according to the taste buds of your clan as well, or it can be omitted altogether. I think I will try it without the hot sauce next time for the kids’ sake.
Here is what you need:

¼ c. barbecue sauce
1-1/2 tsp. hot pepper sauce (more or less, to taste)
1 lb. ground skinless chicken breast
1 onion
¼ c. plain dried bread crumbs
1 small garlic clove
½ tsp. salt
2 c. lightly packed thinly sliced romaine lettuce
1 large tomato
4 light hamburger buns
2 Tbsp. reduced fat crumbled blue cheese
Here is what you do:
1. Stir together barbecue sauce and hot pepper sauce in small bowl.

2. Put 1 tablespoon of barbecue-sauce mixture into a large bowl. Add chicken, onion, bread crumbs, garlic, and salt, and mixed it up really good.

With wet hands, shape mixture into 4 (1/2 inch-thick) patties; brush tops of patties with some of remaining barbecue sauce mixture.

3. Spray grill pan with nonstick spray and set over medium-high heat. Add patties and grill until instant-read thermometer inserted into side of burger registers 165°F, about 5 minutes per side.

4. Top each bun with 1 piece of lettuce, 2 tomato slices, a burger, and 1/2 tablespoon of blue cheese.

Makes 4 burgers.
