Dessert: Peanut Butter Pie

May 6, 2010 by mealplanningmommies 6 Comments

You will Crave this Peanut Butter Pie

My husband has been asking me for months to try and make him a peanut butter pie. To be honest, I love pie- but I really don’t make it very much at all. I think I have made 3 pies in my lifetime, this being one of them!!

My husband is a super picky peanut butter dessert guy, so when he said it was awesome and ate 3/4 of the pie himself…. I guess that means it is pretty stinkin’ good! And did I mention it is SUPER EASY to make?!?

Here is what you need:

1 8oz package of cream cheese-softened, 1 cup white sugar, 1 cup peanut butter, 1 8oz containers whipped cream, thawed, 1 9 inch pie shell- baked (I used graham cracker pie crust instead), 1 TB, softened butter, 1 tsp. vanilla extract

Step 1:

In a Mixing bowl, whip butter and sugar until blended.

Step 2:
Add your peanut butter (don’t you love the handy dandy measuring tool from Pampered Chef! It is so easy to use w/ peanut butter!), cream cheese, and vanilla…

and mix until blended!

Step 3:

Add your thawed out whipped cream and fold into the mixture.

Step 4:
Pour into your crust. Let Refrigerate at least 1 hour and then enjoy!

There are a number of toppings you could add if you wish… chocolate shavings, chocolate cookie crumbs, chocolate peanut butter cups, chocolate syrup…. the list goes on!

my husband who loves peanut butter loves this pie! I put my pie in the freezer so it will set up faster so he’s not sticking his fingers in it in the fridge
